Creditsafe Appoints New President For US Operation
Creditsafe, the business intelligence experts, has appointed Matthew Debbage as President to oversee its US operation, headquartered in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Matthew, who will be on secondment from Creditsafe Business Solutions, will have responsibility for driving the US business forward and building the Creditsafe brand in the world’s largest business credit information market.
Matthew will also retain responsibility for the day-to-day management of Creditsafe’s operations in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands along with overseeing the Group’s extensive product development programme, expansion into new markets and IT functions.
Commenting on Matthew’s appointment, Cato Syversen, CEO of Creditsafe, said: “We are pleased to announce Matthew’s move to President of our US operation. He brings with him an extensive knowledge and understanding of the company and will be an invaluable part of the team in the US.
“Matthew will continue to work across Europe at an operational level with responsibilities in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. His move to the US is testament to the continued success of our new operation as well as to our successful policy of appointing senior directors from within the team.”
Before joining Creditsafe in 2006, Matthew spent five years with ICC Information and Checkit UK, where he was responsible for all marketing and product development. Prior to this, Matthew was Business Information Manager at Thomson Directories, where he was responsible for licensing the Thomson business database.
At the end of its first full year in the US, Creditsafe has signed more than 2,500 subscription customers and delivered in excess of 125,000 US Company Credit Reports. Matthew will return to Europe after his secondment has been completed.
